We maintain and repair Tripp Lite SmartOnline three-phase UPS systems: SV and SVX modular frames, SVTX, SUT and SUTX, S3M and S3MX, and the older SU three-phase units. We are a Canadian UPS service and supply provider since 2012, not Tripp Lite. Same-day service in Montreal, Quebec City, Toronto and Ottawa; 24 to 48 hours elsewhere in Canada.

Key facts

What we service

SmartOnline three-phase families we work on, each with its model page:

Discontinued families we still maintain:

Preventive maintenance

Tripp Lite frames its own three-phase service program across the whole life of the UPS, from initial startup to annual service agreements and preventive maintenance. A yearly visit is the baseline: batteries measured block by block, fans and air filters, connection torque and a thermal scan, the event log, and a written report.

How a visit works on any brand: UPS preventive maintenance.

Modules, bypass and repairs

On the modular SVX, Tripp Lite states that power and battery modules may be removed and swapped out while the UPS is in operation, even during standard maintenance. For scheduled work, the brochure describes a manual transfer to bypass through the bypass switch. We use both: module swaps on line where the frame allows it, and a planned bypass window for the rest. Faults are diagnosed from the alarm log and the measurements, and parts are quoted before they are fitted.

Batteries

We replace internal battery modules and external battery cabinet strings, measure each block before and after, and size replacement strings to the runtime you need. A string is replaced as a set.

Battery life on three-phase systems: how long a three-phase UPS battery lasts.

SmartOnline work is also summarized on the Tripp Lite service page, and internal battery modules for the smaller SmartOnline models are in the Tripp Lite battery collection.

Legacy units and the manufacturer

SVX, S3MX and older SU three-phase systems stay in service while parts and batteries can be sourced. A unit still under the manufacturer's warranty, or a new system awaiting its first start-up, goes through the manufacturer first.
