Toshiba UPS service: maintenance, repair and batteries

We maintain and repair Toshiba three-phase UPS systems: G9000, G9400, 4400 and 3000 TP, and the discontinued G8000, G2020, 4200FA, 4300, 5000 and EL924 units. We are a Canadian UPS service and supply provider since 2012, not Toshiba. Same-day service in Montreal, Quebec City, Toronto and Ottawa; 24 to 48 hours elsewhere in Canada.

Key facts

What we service

Three-phase families we work on, each with its model page:

Discontinued families we still maintain:

Preventive maintenance

On parallel G9000 systems the visit plan follows the redundancy you have: Toshiba's G9000 page states the G9000 supports stand-alone or parallel configurations of up to 4 units (100 to 225 kVA) or 8 units (300 to 750 kVA). With a redundant unit, each UPS is serviced in turn while the others carry the load; without one, the work is planned around the maintenance bypass. A yearly visit is the baseline: batteries measured block by block, fans and air filters, connection torque and a thermal scan under load, the event log and settings, and a written report with every reading next to the previous visit.

Repair

On a parallel system we also check that every unit shares the load and that the system returns to normal after the repair. We diagnose from the alarm history and the measurements, quote the part and the labour before fitting anything, and test the unit back to normal operation.

Toshiba fleets are also covered on the Toshiba UPS maintenance page, and when a G8000 or older unit is due for replacement, current options are compared on the three-phase systems page.

Batteries

On a parallel system we measure the battery string of each unit separately and report them side by side. We replace battery strings and cabinets, measure each block before and after, and size replacement strings to the runtime you need. A string is replaced as a set: one new block in an aged string ages to match the others.

Legacy and discontinued models

The G8000, G2020, 4200FA, 4300 and 5000 are no longer sold. We keep them in service while parts and batteries can be sourced. When a replacement makes more sense, we size a current system for the measured load and plan the cutover.

When the manufacturer should do the work

Toshiba's G9000 product page lists a three-year onsite warranty, so a G9000 inside that period goes to Toshiba first. A unit still under the manufacturer's warranty, or a new system awaiting its first start-up, goes through the manufacturer first. Maintenance, repairs and batteries after that can be done by us.

Coverage and quotes

Common questions

Do you service Toshiba G9000 and G9400 systems?

Yes, stand-alone and parallel, along with the 4400 and 3000 TP and the discontinued G8000, G2020, 4200FA, 4300 and 5000 units.

Can a parallel G9000 system be maintained without a shutdown?

With a redundant unit, yes: each UPS is serviced in turn while the others carry the load. Without redundancy, the work is planned around the maintenance bypass.

Is my G9000 still covered by Toshiba?

Toshiba's G9000 page lists a three-year onsite warranty. Inside that period, call Toshiba first; after it, we can take over.

How fast can a technician come?

Same-day service in Montreal, Quebec City, Toronto and Ottawa; 24 to 48 hours elsewhere in Canada. We reply and quote within 4 business hours.
