Unity power factor for demanding loads
The G8000 is an 80 to 500 kVA, 480 V three-phase UPS with unity-power-factor output, Toshiba states it delivers about 20% more real power than comparable units, so a given frame carries more kW. Its low input harmonics allow 1.1:1 generator sizing, and a high crest factor suits high-inrush loads (Toshiba specifically cites MRI, CT scanners and broadcast transmitters) which makes it a common choice for medical and industrial sites. All Toshiba three-phase models are offered with OSHPD seismic pre-approval.
