Key facts

What we service

Three-phase families we work on, each with its model page:

Discontinued families we still maintain:

Preventive maintenance

Mitsubishi Electric designs the 9900B with maintenance in mind: its product page lists capacitors with a 15-year design life and draw out trays for ease of maintenance and decreased downtime. A 15-year design life is a planning figure, so on older frames capacitor replacement belongs in the budget before a failure forces it. A yearly visit is the baseline: batteries measured block by block, fans and air filters, connection torque and a thermal scan under load, the event log and settings, and a written report with every reading next to the previous visit.

Repair

A repair starts from the fault history on the front panel; on the 9900B, the draw-out trays give direct access to the failed section. We diagnose from the alarm history and the measurements, quote the part and the labour before fitting anything, and test the unit back to normal operation.

Batteries

The 9900B is listed by Mitsubishi Electric as compatible with lithium-ion, VRLA, VLA and pure lead batteries, so the first step is to confirm what the string actually is. We replace battery strings and cabinets, measure each block before and after, and size replacement strings to the runtime you need. A string is replaced as a set: one new block in an aged string ages to match the others.

Visit plans for 9900 and 9800 frames are outlined on the Mitsubishi maintenance page, and VRLA blocks for most string sizes can be matched in the full replacement battery range.

Legacy and discontinued models

The 9800A, 9700, 9900A and 2033 Series are no longer sold. We keep them in service while parts and batteries can be sourced. When a replacement makes more sense, we size a current system for the measured load and plan the cutover.

When the manufacturer should do the work

A unit still under the manufacturer's warranty, or a new system awaiting its first start-up, goes through the manufacturer first. Maintenance, repairs and batteries after that can be done by us.

Coverage and quotes

Common questions

Do you service Mitsubishi 9900 Series UPS systems?

Yes: 9900B, 9900C, 9900CX, 9900D and 9900AEGIS, the 9950, SUMMIT and 1100 Series, and the discontinued 9900A, 9800A, 9700 and 2033 units.

When should the capacitors be replaced?

Mitsubishi Electric lists a 15-year design life for the 9900B capacitors. We check their condition at each visit and plan the replacement before the end of that life, not after a failure.

Can you work on a discontinued 9800A or 9700?

Yes, while parts and batteries can be sourced. When a repair no longer makes sense, we quote a current replacement.

How fast can a technician come?

Same-day service in Montreal, Quebec City, Toronto and Ottawa; 24 to 48 hours elsewhere in Canada. We reply and quote within 4 business hours.
