It performs a 100% step load without drawing batteries, which matters for medical-imaging inrush (MRI/CT), and doubles as a power conditioner; the 80 and 100 kVA models are UL 924 listed for emergency lighting, and the family is OSHPD seismic-rated and lithium-ready, with 15-year capacitor life. Mitsubishi's lifecycle page names the 9900AEGIS as the potential replacement for the 9900A, which is in Best Effort support with a projected end-of-support date of 12/2026.
