Engineering guide
An Eaton 93PS shows its state in two places: four status symbols under the display and two rows of coloured LEDs on the cabinet door, which always show the most urgent condition. A red alarm symbol means an active alarm needing immediate attention. Open Logs for the active events, record them, and call a service representative if red is lit or green is out.

Pressing any control panel button once silences the horn on a 93PS; it does not remove the alarm.
The 93PS adds two rows of red, green and yellow LEDs on the left and right sides of the cabinet door. Only one colour is shown at a time and it is always the most urgent condition, so the door LEDs are a quick way to check the unit from across the room. Green LEDs blinking with the yellow battery symbol lit means the UPS is in battery mode.
When the UPS leaves double conversion, it reports why with horns, lights, messages or all three. The message appears in the status bar and is written to the Active Events log; select Logs on the home screen to read it. Record the message and time before anyone resets anything.
Eaton's guide is explicit: only the daily and monthly maintenance steps can be done by the user. Daily, that means a clear area, unblocked air intakes and exhaust, a room within the specified environment, and a check that green is lit; if red is lit or green is not, contact the service representative. Monthly, review the system parameters and, where fitted, the optional air filters.
Eaton reserves battery replacement and maintenance for its qualified service personnel. When a 93PS string reaches end of life, Eaton-compatible replacement batteries can be quoted to the original configuration and installed during a planned visit.
The guide reserves annual preventive maintenance for trained personnel; annual service for Eaton 93PS units covers that visit, and how long three-phase UPS batteries last helps plan the string.
They show the UPS condition in red, green or yellow, one colour at a time, and always the most urgent condition.
Press any control panel button once. The horn stops but the alarm stays active until its cause is resolved.
In the status bar and in the Active Events log; select Logs on the home screen.
No. Eaton's guide keeps battery replacement and maintenance for qualified service personnel.
Battery mode is a normal condition during an input problem. Green stays lit and the yellow battery symbol comes on.
