Comparison
For large data centres the three platforms overlap between roughly 500 and 1,200 kW. The APC Galaxy VX runs from about 500 to 1,500 kW, the Eaton Power Xpert 9395P from 200 to 1,200 kW (with 600/575 V models) and the 9395XC from 1,125 to 2,250 kW, and the Vertiv Liebert EXL S1 from 250 to 1,200 kW at 480 V. Each manufacturer quotes up to 99% efficiency in its high-efficiency mode.

Sources, checked October 3, 2026: Schneider Electric Canada, Galaxy VX range; Schneider Electric Canada, GVX500K500HS product page; Eaton, 9395 UPS family page; Eaton, 9395XC UPS page; Vertiv, Liebert EXL S1 UPS 250-1200 kW; Vertiv, Liebert EXL 625-1200 kVA (discontinued).
All three are large double-conversion platforms for data halls, colocation and industrial sites. Their high-efficiency modes have different names and mechanics: Schneider Electric's eConversion (the factory default on the Galaxy V-Series since 2022), Eaton's Energy Saver System, and Vertiv's Dynamic Online mode, which Vertiv states transfers back to the inverter in 0 ms. In plain double conversion, Eaton quotes up to 97% for the 9395P and 9395XC.
Of the models compared here, Eaton lists 600/575 V versions of the Power Xpert 9395P. The Galaxy VX and the Liebert EXL S1 are listed at 480 V (and 400 V for the Galaxy VX), which on a 600 V distribution means a transformer in the path. Confirm the voltage options for your exact rating with the manufacturer before you design around it.
Vertiv names the Liebert EXL S1 as the replacement for its discontinued Liebert EXL (625 to 1,200 kVA) and Liebert NX 225 to 600 kVA. Schneider Electric points owners of discontinued Symmetra PX 250 and 500 kW frames to Galaxy VX models. Eaton's original Power Xpert 9395 (225 to 1,100 kVA) remains in its current 9395 family alongside the 9395P.
They serve different sizes. The Galaxy VX starts at about 500 kW; the Eaton 93PM covers 10 to 200 kW at 208 V and 220 V and 50 to 250 kW at 480 V. For a like-for-like comparison with the 93PM, see Eaton 93PM vs APC Galaxy VS vs Vertiv Liebert APM2.
All three platforms are serviced under data-centre UPS service, and Galaxy VX configurations are listed among the APC Galaxy VX systems online.
In the same power class, Eaton's Power Xpert 9395 family: the 9395P from 200 to 1,200 kW and the 9395XC from 1,125 to 2,250 kW. The Galaxy VX runs from about 500 to 1,500 kW.
Vertiv names the Liebert EXL S1 (250 to 1,200 kW) as the replacement for the discontinued Liebert EXL and Liebert NX 225 to 600 kVA. Its Liebert NXL page lists the NXL as discontinued without naming a single replacement.
Among the models compared here, Eaton lists 600/575 V versions of the Power Xpert 9395P. The Galaxy VX and the Liebert EXL S1 are listed at 480 V.
